Furnok is resistant to waking, wanting to remember the last night again and again, but the noise of the door opening crashes through his dreams and forces him awake. He regains consciousness and finds himself covered in blood. He frantically begins searching for a wound, and begins to ask for healing from Amora, who just came in the door.... but his mouth has something in it? But, Furnok quickly surmises that he actually feels quite fine, well except for a little sore from last nights romp.

Amora views the gruesome scene before her and is stunned for a moment as she forgets to breathe. After a few heartbeats pass, she takes in an audible gasp bring Furnok to a more attentive state. Amora draws her blade as Furnok’s eyes open wide in shock seeing Amora readies her sword in his direction. Without averting her eyes from Furnok, Amora calls out, “Leno! Send for the town guards and then get up here with all haste!” Torn with the decision to help her friend and seek out justice Amora looks Furnok in the eyes. “I’m sorry Furnok, but you’ll have to trust in that justice will prevail. Please drop your sword.”

Before Furnok can fully see to even comprehend the situation he is in, Amora draws her sword, points it towards him and tells him to "drop your sword."
Furnok didn't even realize he was holding a sword till she mentioned it. Then he noticed the young lady next to him, determined the source of the blood and realized how things appeared.
"Amora, look, I didn't do this. I wasn't me." Furnok pleaded. "You know me, good ol' Furnok."
Leno bounded up the stairs, rushed into the room and stop short when he saw the grizzly scene before him.
"Leno, man, help me out." Furnok ask. "You know this is not me, not how it looks. Somethin's up man, someone is setting us up. The other girl, were she at, it had to be her. There were two of them, were's the other one."
Furnok is looking for help, back and forth from Amora to Leno, as the guards walk in.
Leno walks over to Furnok, removes the sword and simultaneously helps him dress and holds him in place while whispering, "We'll figure this out. We will not let you take the blame for this. But you have to just go with it. Let us take you in."
Furnok is lead out of the room by Leno, followed by the guards. As they leave, Amora seems stuck, torn from within, unable to move, sword still raised.

People begin piling out of their rooms to the screams of the chambermaid.
Seeing the sight before them, many cry out "what did you do?", "someone get the guard".

"The guard has already taken a suspect into custody. This crime scene is being preserved for further investigation. I am merely guarding it till more guards arrive to help secure the area. I suggest you leave good woman." Amora replies in an uncharacteristicly stern manner.

Leno, takes Furnok to jail, constantly reassuring him that we shall get to the bottom of this. Leno's first though is to make sure that he knows were the body of the Miller's daughter is at and to "protect" it so that it does not disappear. Then to support Amora and to gather Elmo, Kubort, Spug, Ug, and anyone else, who help he can count on. There is work to do. Fact - Miller's daughter is dead. Fact - Furnok was in room with Miller's daughter Fact - There is a missing woman from the room, and she did not leave through the door, guarded all night by Amora Fact - There is a pile of ash in the room.
Question - where is the Miller's daughter body taken? The church? Question - Where did the other woman go? Question - What is the ash from?

Leno: Elmo, Spug and Kubort, guard the room, let no one enter or take anything from the room. Also search the room, and look for clues. We need to figure out what happened last night and where the other woman went. Spug, check out the ash. Where could it have come from. Ug take care of Amora. I'll Keep an eye on the body of the Miler's daughter. Ug, do you have Speak with dead memorized??

As Spugnoir exams the ash, the rest of them hear his gulp. His voice cracking some, "It's human ash from a disintegrate spell. It's fresh too, the transmutation magic still lingers off of it and the room."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stripped down to a simple loincloth, Furnok examined his surrounds. Well he had been in worse jails, at least Burne's tower cells he could lay down with the slack the chains allowed. Though the arcane markings on the manacles worried him some. There was dim light coming in from the doorway's single window from the torch light nearby.

"HE KILLED MY GIRL, DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN" the obliviously distraught man has Calmer sitting him down at the corner.
As the group comes down, they can see the common room of the Welcome Wench is jammed with the townsfolk.
