Spending the last their last few days on the Dragon before Corsucant, the late evening winds dance caressingly across the large lake.
A sleepless Nadia strolls out to the balcony in a simple night shift.
Gazing across the water, letting the air flow across her.
'A storm tonight, can feel it in the air.
Smiling as she thinks of the warm bed awaiting her with her new husband, tomorrow morning was his turn with the twins on wake up.
Here was the serenity of the entire house asleep as she smiled to herself.
Than she feels the familar prescene.
"Hello Daveron."
"You and Locar were always hard to sneak up on."
"What brings you here tonight, I know it's a tiring effort to come forth."
"You dear, your worried about the battle. Especially what Locar has planned."
"Of course I'm worried, but Locar has become secretive in the plans. Everything so compartmentalized, I know he is trying to protect everyone till the attack but it gets fustrating."
"Yes he is, but there is something else bothering you, what is it. I could feel it in the Force.
Sighing, "You could always read my moods. Yes, Summer told me, briefly, about what Locar intends to do to bolster the fleet. He's been studying a holocron of Jedi Master Worror Dowmat. He intends to improve his battle meditation to aid in the battle. Summer tells me that this will be extremely draining on him due to the scale of the battle."
Nodding at her buttessment, "You're concerned that he'll push it too far."
"Locar isn't known for doing things half way, you know that."
"That is true. It reminds me of another Jedi Master." He says, smiling.
"Who would that be?"
"She was a beautiful young woman that I had the pleasure of training her to Knighthood."
"Me?" The confusion evident on her face.
"Yes, you. Everything you set out to do you did with unwavering determination. Your training with the lightsaber is unparalleled for one so young, you lead the most elite and disciplined fighter squadron, you managed to train a young Dathomiri Witch into a Jedi Knight, and lastly, but most certainly not the least, you are a dedicated wife and mother."
"You and Locar are so much alike in many ways, though their are different methods, the end result is two of most dedicated, determined, and loyal friends I've been privileged to know." He smiles that roguish grin, "That's why I had bet so heavily on you two getting together."
"You're trying to change the subject, though I want you know, we will discuss the bet later." Daveron cringes as Nadia continues. "This battle will change the fate of the galaxy as we know it. How can you take this so lightly?"
"Easy. What will happen will happen. I trust that I've taught you and Locar everything you will need for this. I know you both will do what you need to do in this upcoming battle."
"I'm glad one of us is sure in the outcome."
"Oh, I don't know the outcome as the Force tends to keep a veil over important events. But I do know that Locar is a wise man and will take the appropriate precautions."
"You're right, but I think I'll talk to Shal so she can keep an eye on him."
"A wise precaution, my former Padawan." Sensing that Nadia's concerns are put to ease, Daveron begins to fade from view.
"You should stop in and see Kara." Nadia says as the Force-spirit fades. "She could use a friendly word before her son marches off to battle."
"You read my mind, it was my next stop. May the Force be with you." says the fading voice.
Feeling his presence move on, Nadia takes a deep breath just as a crack of thunder echos off the mountains. The sound of two crying babies emanates from nursery.
Moving back into the house she sees Tom getting out of bed to tend to the twins. "I got them, sweety. Go back to bed."
"Are you sure?" Asks a yawning Tom.
"Yes, you're the one getting up early with them tomorrow. Besides I enjoy a good storm."
"You're the best. Love you." Smiling Tom puts his head back down on the pillow as Nadia moves to calm Jack & Jessica.
