Hey guys your friendly neighborhood cleric of Mystra here. Had a question for the DM as my schedule will be shifting in January and i should be able to come out regularly on Wednesday evenings now. I wanted to see if you would be OK with a prestige class called the "Mystic Demiurge" which can be found on this link : www.dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Mystic_Demiurge_%283.5e_Prestige_Class%29. With me doing the Initiate of Mystra (aka Cheater of Mystra) this is a class I've always wanted to try playing and it fits in really well with the direction I'm already going. If you could take a look at it when you have time and let me know, also if there are any changes to it you would like to make if you feel an ability is too powerful I'm OK with that as well. I also wanted to see if you would be okay with (since it was a very hasty quick build) what would make sense also in my mind as a worshiper of Mystra to be able to rework it so that i would have started as 3rd cleric and 2nd wizard which would for that level up to 6th would be 3rd/3rd wizard and cleric. Let me know your thoughts and we can discuss anything that needs discussing as well.

I find your idea interesting, however, I am concerned that you will be behind the curve of power due to you being behind in ability to cast spell levels normal to a straight caster progression. I have a modified version of the Cheater of Mystra build (OP boards used that divine metamagic persistant junk) That will post here for you to review. The Complete Divine web enhancement is where the updated Dweomerkeeper originated.
1. The Cheater of Mystra, by Neonsamurai and Funny Slaughter * Feats altered by Godwin human Cleric of Mystra 5/ Dweomerkeeper 10/Divine Disciple 5
Dweomerkeeper is from the Complete Divine Web enhancement. Divine Disciple is from Players Guide to Faerun 1 Cleric1 (Magic/Rune) Magical Training, Extend Spell* 2 Cleric2 3 Cleric3 Knowledge Devotion* 4 Cleric4 5 Cleric5 6 Dweomerkeeper1 Touch of Healing* 7 DwK2 8 Divine Disciple1 9 DiD2 Initiate of Mystra 10 DiD3 11 DiD4 (Spell Domain) 12 DiD5 Spontaneous Domains* 13 DwK3 14 DwK4 15 DwK5 Quicken Spell* 16 DwK6 17 DwK7 18 DwK8 Divine Metamagic Quicken Spell* 19 DwK9 20 DwK10 [edit]edited the feats according the change of prerequisites for divine metamagic. removed extra turning as the new item "Nightsticks" from libris mortis give a good amount of turning attempts with little investment[/edit]
recommended Spells for Mantle of Spells:
6th Resist Energy, Mass
this one is discussable. i think its quite handy to have some party energy resist ready all the time. Anyspell would be also nice, of course
13th greater anyspell
you can prepare any arcane spell of up to 5th level. polymorph self, create magic tatoo, the list is endless
15th greater dispel magic
you never know when you need this one. counterspell if you want, dispel when you want and never waste a spell-slot on the spell
17th heal
just in case your party thinks a cleric should be an healer. you can prepare combat-, utility and buff-spells and have some spontaneus heal ready nontheless.
19th miracle
just combine this one with your su-ability and after a few days no member of your party will feel the need to read a tome anymore
talk to your gods (read: DM) before if they like all these "miracles" happen every day, maybe its wise to choose something else
why is this build called "Cheater of Mystra"?
This build combines nearly all abilities from the new books PGtF and CD.

Hey,
I'm going to be looking at coming out on Wednesday nights starting this week and have put a character together. I wanted to post what I made and clarify some things with you about his origins. I have created a Warblade. Race is Sun Elf with the Draconic creature template( +1 LA) from races of dragon/draconomicon. What I want to clarify is I know from talking with Bill, Patrick and Justin that you have encountered a Sun Elf of house Starym who was searching for the Warblade before being captured. What I want to find out is ok is if this character also comes from house Starym, whether an older brother or a cousin who has been sent out to search for the blade as it is believed she had failed. His ultimate goal would be not only to find the Warblade but the Artblade and Rulers Blade as well. Not only for historic value but he hopes to be accepted by one as its wielder. As the group has already encountered a member of this family I figure it would also be a decent way to add the character to the party. I also wanted to find out if it is ok to use the LA buy off method like Justin used since it is a LA 1 like his was. Let me know what you think and I can make any changes that I may need to. The character progression will be a total of 18 Warblade levels and 2 fighter levels for up to 20 and I have plans for after for the character if it gets to the point of reaching beyond that at any point.[/div]

I've looked over the template and see no reason to deny use of it and you may use the LA buy off. The sun elf the party met and freed is Aglariel Starym She is a young Sun Elf mage of 118 years as of the current time, Hammer 1375, left home around 1368 to pursue her study in magecraft in Cormyr by joining the War Wizards. She had enlisted for 50 years or until Myth Drannor was reclaimed. Since that happened in 1374 she was released and joined with the Elven Crusade. The Coronal of Myth Drannor felt old wards alerting her presence of the War Blade in the Shadowdale area and sent Aglariel to retrieve it. The damage to the weave and an encounter with a spell draining creature caused her to be captured and place into the brothel for the soldiers entertainment. They did not know who she was when captured. If you're family you know her goal is to find the Artblade, which belonged to her grandfather Josidiah Starym, before being lost in 714 during the Battle of Stars Shining. Also, Algariel is a Arcane Devotee to Hanali and has the Otherworldly Regional Feat.
Let me know if your character is a brother or a cousin. Also I'll need some idea of how your template alters your character's appearance. I understand it can vary greatly.

He is going to be her older brother. He is middle aged at 215yrs old (Per the races of Faerun age categories for sun elf), he is a worshiper of Corellon Larethian and has the true believer feat. I chose for his armor an enhanced version of the Millenial chainmail up to a +3(does not break the 50% wealth threshold of 9th level character wealth) as long as you are ok with him having it. He does meet the requirements to activate the relic power with the true believer feat. As far as differences in appearance based on the template; not that the type of dragon is necessary I chose silver(as long as that is okay with you) and as such his hair instead of being the standard golden color is more platinum/silver in nature although he does still have the darker bronze skin as per the picture below. He has a more typical green eye color although his pupils are slitted like that of a dragon. His fingernails also come to more of a point at the ends to give that slight claw like appearance which accounts for the "natural attacks" he gains from the template. Also I built the character on the assumption that he will be coming in at 9th level however Patrick did say they were very close to 10th level. What would you like me to start as?

I've no problem with the armor. Come in at the same XP value the main party members have currently. I only asked about the appearance because the sample creature it gave, the draconic fire giant, didn't look really close to the fire giant. Based on the reading I found for the template it can have a variety of cosmetic draconic features. I will suggest your character disguising himself in Shadowdale as the the Zhents are skirmishing with Myth Drannor presently. The type of dragon from the ancestry wasn't needed, however, the silver makes sense.

Nope he looks pretty much like a normal sun elf minus the silver hair. He does have the tattoo that runs down his face to his shoulder as in the picture. When in towns he will probably probably keep his cowl up most of the time, however he will also pin his ears down if necessary. his hair is also long enough that he can tie it back/braid it in a manner that helps conceal his ears and he also has ranks in disguise as well as a disguisers kit. his hair is longer than in the picture coming down to about his shoulder blades.
