Guilty of being a mecha fan to an extent but like it more if it's got some type of supernatural twist. Gonna start a list and just edit it later but one I just finished is Valverave. Fair warning if you have kids episode 10 does have a rape scene where the main character loses control of himself as he suffers attacks that are difficult to explain without knowing the story but it's not bad. Curious how they'll do season 2 but won't spoil it in case any check it out. www.hulu.com/valvrave-the-liberator

Currently watching Tiger and Bunny. From the title it sounds lame but it's actually funny, action packed, with a twisted storyline. Revolves around heroes that actually handle crime for sponsorship while keeping their identities hidden and having the sponsors take care of the damage fees they cause and gaining publicity. www.hulu.com/tiger--bunny

www.hulu.com/steinsgate - A guy stumbles across time travel in this series but it's got some weird conditions and outcomes that're fatal. www.hulu.com/gargantia-on-the-verdurous-planet - Another mecha anime but this storyline takes place after the earth has been engulfed in water and some humans forced evolution. Wish it had a second season but no chance. As they say all good things come to an end. www.hulu.com/the-devil-is-a-part-timer - Satan from one dimension is on the verge of being destroyed and in a last ditch effort to survive ports to a different one to be turned into a human with little to no powers and an accomplish with zero powers forced into a modern era.

www.hulu.com/sword-art-online-ii Sword Art Online 2 follows the predecessor but with some changes. It still has the same main characters as the first but digs a little deeper over time to what went through the players minds more thanks to Sword Art Online. Subtitled only sadly but at least uncut that way.

Blassreiter was made years ago but decided to backtrack and rewatch it. Follows a main character with some of the worst luck that ends up fighting in the series as a makeshift mutant with a modified motorcycle against hordes of mutated people contaminated by a virus all the while trying to correct severals lives.

www.hulu.com/argevollen - Another mech based series but on a more serious note involving testing of a new mech with an inexperienced pilot that tried his luck and was forced to use it as his last resort while uncovering what happened to his sister in the millitary unit she was in. www.hulu.com/aldnoahzero - A mech series with a somewhat unusual main character who feels a resemblance to Heero Yui from Gundam Wing minus the special training he's just that fast of a thinker and intelligent student. War is common enough in this storyline that high school students are even taught how to pilot mechs in case of war time to be mobillized instead of the elderly. The main cast's background remains a mistery but slowly unfolds for some with a twist at the end of the first season.

www.hulu.com/broken-blade - A mech based series that in a sense portrays a future where the oil has been tapped out of the planet completely and people somehow gained the ability to manipulate artificially made ligaments with something in their body and quartz. The main storyline follows a hero however that doesn't have this ability and is thrust in a war waging between countries that ironically enough one friend being the king of the country he lives in and another friend is a commander for the enemy country. To top it off his country found a mech that they can't control but somehow since he can't manipulate quartz he can. It's only 6 episodes long but each episode is 55 minutes.

www.hulu.com/i-couldnt-become-a-hero-so-i-reluctantly-decided-to-get-a-job - Another wierd magic anime where instead of the demon king's heir trying to take over it's a female demon that just wants to live with humans in their time of convenience using magic to power appliances. The main character finds himself having to find a job after the Demon King is killed before he can become a hero and gets a surprise when he ends up training the demon king's daughter to be a normal store clerk all the while unexpected problems pop up left and right along with your typical load of fanservice from anime nowadays. Still funny to see even short lived. Makes me think of Dagger Falls in it's down time between wars somewhat minus a dwarf chucking tomatoes at the weapon shop.

- Mazinkaizer is more Heavy Metal and ruthless than I've seen in alot of mech anime. Feels like someone crossed mecha with Mad Max and slapped it on an Amazonian Island. As short lived as it was it's crammed with action, a couple twists, and one heck of a heavy metal soundtrack for the heavy metal mayhem.

- Mad Bull 34 (ADULT CONTENT LEFT AND RIGHT) It follows Sleepy a hulking lummox of an officer with a soft side and his new recruit partner Diazaburo working in the 34th Precinct in New York. Sleepy is also known as Mad Bull for his temper at taking the law into his own hands to make sure crime is stopped even if he gets a bad rep for it. Unfortunately he's got a major soft side when it comes to the ladies and gets lucky alot. Only 4 episodes but an entertaining action comedy that it is.

Story involves the crew of a space cargo ship being moved off course to a swamp planet called Garaga with one of it's two passengers being a government official's daughter they need to protect. Once on Garaga they get involved in a fight between two warring races and their own government.

www.hulu.com/parasyte-the-maximParasyte The Maxim revolves around the main character Shinichi a high school student that one night feels something attempt to get into his head then proceeds to burrow through his arm finding out it's stuck there and that it's a sentient parasyte able to morph his arm within limits and talk. Over time more parasytes show up off and on and turn out canabalistic based on attacking whatever species their host is. The series has some obvious twists you can see and more common sense put in than any would expect including myself. 12 episodes in and still worth the watch.
