It is a somber celebration of the end of the zombie infestation. Townsfolk gathering after the burial of the mayor, drinking to their fallen friends and family.
It finds Thoben wandering around the taproom watching the others listening for any good leads. While it finds Elkas sitting at a table with Ashlyn after he just did a small performance the Crusader's Ballad, a rising tale of a lone knight standing against the forces of evil in the depths of the Abyss.
A sad Ashlyn remarks how beautiful a rendition of the ballad it was to Elkas. "I still expect them to walk through the inn's door any minutes. But I know they are lost to us." Raising her mug in a toast with Elkas, "It is a dark time that finds us together. Thank you for being a light within it, Lathander truly sings within your songs," as she smiles at the charming bard.

Not a problem malady. Though their bodies lay to rest their tortured souls shall never feel pain again or be bent by some wicked evil. When one passes they are truly still with you in heart and memory until we rejoin them in the next. All we can do now instead of mourning their passing is celebrate the lives they lived and make sure to make the evil that came into this town pays for the act.

"The church will need cleansing and rebuilt. With my friends gone and the local clergy dead, it shall fall to me. Danovich and Kolyan originally held the charter for the local chapter of Lightbringers, I think I'm the last of us in the area. Ireena gave me the copy of the charter, so I shall begin the rebuilding of the order for the area."
"You know I wouldn't mind you stopping in from time to time."

Simone sits in the back corner of the taproom of the Blood of the Vine Tavern, knowing that many in the area still harbor ill feelings towards her family's clan. Many a time is her family named only mentioned in hush whispers for when a Belmont comes, a great evil will sweep over the land. Shaking her head at the thought of her family's undeserved reputation, Simone begins to reach into her pack to pull out her unique and distinctive mirror. Before her hand reaches into her haversack, she looks upon a curious scene playing out before her across the way at another table. Elkas, her charming half-elven bard companion and Ashlyn the Paladin of Lathander and a member of the Order of Lightbringers, sit comfortably close to one another. Ashlyn leans in close to Elkas, seemingly hanging on the bard's every word. Simone sits back in her chair, thoughts of brushing her hair flown, as she watches the scene unfold. A smile crosses her face wondering if Lady Fairhair has struck again or perhaps the Morning Lord has seen to a potentially wondrous new beginning. Either way, blossoming love was always a treat to behold.

"Gladly as adventuring and being stuck wandering from inn to inn gets boresome every now and then anyways killing time in a loud establishment even if I can help lighten the mood some." Come the next time we get gold you'll find Elkas donating 100 to the church to help with repairs btw.

The next morning as the party is heading out to begin exploring the countryside in search of the rumored werewolves, the less religious members stop by the church to pick up those that head to make their morning prayers to their god. Awaiting at the entrance is Ashlynn smiling brightly in the morning sun. The Lightbringer leans into the building to inform our companions that we have arrived. As Ashlynn leans in, Simone moves up to Elkas and whispers, "Ashlynn seems to shine like the morning sun when you're near. I believe she's smitten with you."
