Looking better at Subsonics from Complete Adventurer on it as well since we have two that sneak would be helpful I think if I tweak my Move Silently.

I'd run it by Shawn godwin and Scott, I'm not familiar with them personally.

Crystal Echoblade looks cool, Longsword +1 with damage of 1d8+1+(Bard Level/2); Basically a +1 weapon with a +2,000gp enchantment. I'm fine with it.
Badge of Valor - is part of a collection the Regalia of The Hero. Is that something you want me to work in?
I'd allow the Gauntlets of Heartfelt Blows. Basically gives in MELEE attacks only a +Cha Bonus (min of +1) as fire damage to any attack. I can see where they have their uses, but cost-wise does seem prohibitive versus their benefit.

The cost to the gauntlets I think is high because it's melee and touch so Spellcasters can benefit as well. Shocking grasp with fire mixed in as well. Think that's why they're that costly. The part about touch attacks follows where it mentions the damage. "This bonus damage also applies to touch attacks." Sounds like a mess up to me so going off melee touch since it only reads touch attacks but is more of a melee item.
Mainly keeping track of the gear and such here since Bards are something this group didn't do before but if you want cool. We won't be messing with enchanting or buying gear as much with this campaign so a gear list for a future one helps.

I don't mind working in requests for specific items to be found. Especially in a campaign where access to Godwin's is sparse.
Yes the Gauntlets would work with Shocking Grasp. Their main reason for specifying melee touch is it didn't want it to count towards Ranged Touch Attacks (i.e. Scorching Ray; your various Orbs). But again, outside of Paladins, melee fighters that would benefit from high Charismas would be few and far in between. While your Bard with his Charisma would benefit, how often do you plan on melee fighting directly?
But I can work it in if you would like to see it sometime, there are a few places I could place it that wouldn't be drastically out of place.

Actually since a Crusader with those gauntlets would be extra static damage more if they're found. The Badge and Helm of Tactics if found would be nice for the two piece bonus from the set though. Btw what was Tick's trick with getting her knowledge checks to work with anything like you did???

This one that's at the top of my first post was the continuation from the Bard's Handbook that was started on Wizard's forums and even has where he scratched out about Healing Hymm being a trap.

What's the chances of having a spellcaster in that town that could put Sudden Stunning from DMG2 on my Rapier for 2k gold??? Fair warning there was talks to a tweak to it posted here. oracle.wizards.com/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind0507e&L=dnd-l&P=970Atm if done would mean they'd need to pass at DC 18 atm but don't think we're gonna hit much atm anyways that can be hit by Stun effects.

Think I'm in agreement with the write-up of it. At +2,000gp as written, it's a bit over-powered.
As Written:
Switching it to a +1 Power and having to declare prior to your swing (like Smite) would put it more in line with it's power. or Restricting it to Two-Handed Weapons Melee Weapons only. Using the Description of it, it's basically the force of the swing that is causing the stun effect. With that restriction than I would leave it as is.

Cool thanks. Was looking for something defensive for the Bard and this'll help and agreed on having to declare it like Smite. After I read Oracle's response that I linked figure that's a balanced response instead of using it how it was initially written.

Figure this is a good place to put in my short list of things that would be beneficial to find as magic items:
Chasuble of Fell Power (lesser, within the scope of this campaign, I suspect) Warlock's Sceptre Bracers of Archery Cloak of CHA +4
Etc.

Ok so it's going off your variant instead of the one that was done by Oracle and it'll be 8,300 to up the Rapier with it to effectively a +2 weapon then instead? The rewrite Oracle had mentioned using the Smite ruling variation like you mentioned first. Just being sure doing upgradings.
Welcome to the boards btw Red and will check those items after work. Thanks for the suggestions. Cloak of Charisma was already on the mind with the Bard's abillities using it more.

Yes to have the power the Rapier would be a Rapier +1 Stunning Strike which would be a +2 weapon. And yes functioning like Smite, you would have to declare before and lose it if the attack fails.

www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?152242-LYRIC-THAUMATURGE-worth-it-or-notDug around here and turns out Lyric Thaumaturge doesn't progress Inspire Courage. Figured it didn't or it'd show but reason being Lyric Thuamaturge adds free spells here and there in place of it's progression. Contemplating retraining some levels of bard to Lyric since it dawned on me with Healing Hymm cock blocking the abillities that need Fascinate only other gain is the Courage that'd go to just +2 by campaign's end so might as well slowly retrain so end run will be Bard 5 Lyric 5. Never used Knowledge History anyways so trading it for Arcana and a rank of Sleight of Hand and could've started Lyric as soon as 5th level. Healing Hymm has shown it's worth the dip anyways even if it nerfs half the Bard's base stuff.
